Take the oldest elevator in Japan to Tokasaikan

If you like Peking food you are at the right place as Tokasaikan restaurant specialises in Peking cuisine. Step outside the Kawaramachi Station and take Japan's oldest elevator to the fifth floor (tell the operator you want the ‘gokai' floor) of that old, elegant Western looking building you'll see from across the station. You'll end up at the Tokasaikan restaurant. Once there, you'll end up at the Tokasaikan restaurant.

Some of their popular dishes include spring rolls, sweet and sour pork, soup dumplings, and a plate of pot stickers. During your meal, their courteous staff will help you, along with a menu written in English. Afterwards, take a stroll through the Gion district or perhaps go to the balcony and enjoy the view over Kamogawa River. Perfect for a comfortable meal after a long day shopping at Teramachi Street!
