Occupying 13 of the 52 floors in JR Central Towers, Takashimaya is a modern department store with an emphasis on luxury and upmarket fashion.
Built on top of Nagoya's rail hub, the Tower was the city's highest building until the nearby Midtown Square's completion in 2007.
Takashimaya can be accessed from the ground floor of JR Central Towers. The 2nd floor is dedicated to international boutiques, with marques including Jimmy Choo, Prada and Burberry.
Traditional-style Japanese clothing, including kimonos, can be found on floor 11.
A range of Japanese, Asian and Western dining options are available on floors 12 and 13.
For a well-earned rest after a day’s shopping, ride up to the tower’s 51st floor Panorama Salon and enjoy the stunning view.
