With a range of products spanning more than 70,000 low-cost items, Daiso is a one-stop-shop for almost everything you can think of – and probably some things you can’t.
Occupying the entire 7th floor of the Skyle Building, the store is operated by one of Japan’s biggest discount retailers and is the largest 100-yen shop in the city.
With more than 2,800 locations nationwide, stock at Daiso stores is constantly changing, with hundreds of new items hitting the shelves every month.
Products include inexpensive daily necessities such as toiletries, cosmetics and stationery, as well as home and kitchenware.
Daiso is particularly good for budget Japanese gifts and souvenirs, including snacks, traditional-style bowls and wall hangings.
The store also carries a range of unique novelty items such as sushi-shaped erasers and even plastic anime characters designed to keep the lid shut on instant noodle cups.
