Aikyou manages to combine refined and subtle tastes with a very lively and welcoming atmosphere.They mainly concentrate on seafood, and unlike Sapporokanihonke Nagoyaekimae and their crab specialty, Aikyou offer a variety of delicacies, such as abalone, lobster, crab, and even caviar. For the more adventurous, they also have courses centered on fugu, or blowfish, which is a fish so poisonous that chefs have to be trained and certified to prepare and serve it. Aikyou even has sets comprised of soft shelled turtle, which comes with a glass of fresh turtle’s blood mixed with sake (rice wine). Although this drink is an acquired taste, it is a culinary experience that you will not be quick to forget; it is also said to improve one’s vitality.
